Privacy policy
MYT Whitehead Pickleball Training Grounds (A Genium Group company) collects personal data in line with the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance (Cap. 486). This is what we collect, why, who handles it and what you can ask us to do with it. We ask you to agree to it when you book, join our launch list or send a request: on our website with a tick box, and on WhatsApp or by phone by asking you.
What we collect
- Your name, mobile number and email address, and the details of each booking.
- For a group, company or school request: the organisation, group size and the dates and times you have in mind.
- Your FPS payment screenshot and what it shows: amount, date, reference number and the names on the transfer.
- Messages you send us on WhatsApp or by email, voice notes, and phone calls with our booking assistant (what was said, and a recording where the call is recorded), with our replies.
- Whether you agreed to this policy, whether you asked us to contact you on WhatsApp, and whether you’d like to hear from us about promos, freebies and events.
- CCTV footage recorded at the venue.
- How you use our website: pages viewed, device and browser, approximate location and how you found us (see Cookies below).
Why we use it
- To take and manage your bookings and requests, and check your payment.
- To contact you about your booking or request: confirmations, receipts, reminders, changes, refunds and a thank-you with a link to leave a review.
- To tell you when we open, if you joined our launch list.
- To answer your messages and calls, including through our AI booking assistant.
- To send you promos, freebies and events, only if you said yes. You can stop them at any time.
- To improve our website and service, using usage statistics.
- For the safety and security of players and the venue.
- To keep accounting records and meet legal obligations.
We don’t sell your data or use it for marketing without your consent.
Our AI booking assistant
Our WhatsApp and phone booking assistant is an AI. It can answer questions, check availability and hold courts for you, and it reads payment screenshots so we can check the amount and reference. Our staff can see the conversations, check every payment and take over at any time; ask for a person whenever you like.
Who handles it
Our own team and the Genium Group companies, and service providers acting for us: website hosting (Netlify), our booking database (Supabase), email delivery (Resend), WhatsApp messaging (WhatsApp and our connection provider), AI services that read payment screenshots and help answer messages and calls, and Google (website statistics and reviews). Some of them process data outside Hong Kong. Enquiries from venue operators about our court automation go to Genium Group. We also disclose data when the law requires it.
Your rights
You can ask to see or correct the personal data we hold about you, or ask us to delete it (we keep what the law requires for accounting). You can stop promos at any time by replying STOP on WhatsApp or telling us by email. Email myt@genium-group.com or WhatsApp +852 6500 6966.
Cookies
Our website stores an unfinished booking in your browser so you can finish paying if the page reloads. It also uses our own visitor statistics and Google Analytics, which set cookies to count visits and see how people find and use the site. You can block cookies in your browser; booking still works.
House rules
- Non-marking court shoes only.
- Up to 4 players per court: more of you need another court. Stay on the court you booked.
- Your booking is yours: it can’t be resold or transferred. The person who booked (or a guest they named) must be there; show your booking reference at the door.
- Start and finish on time, and leave the court ready for the next group. Overrunning is charged as the next hour. Arriving late doesn’t extend your booking, and a no-show isn’t refunded.
- The courts are for pickleball only.
- Spectators stay off court, up to 4 per court.
- No paid coaching, commercial filming or organised events without our written permission.
- Only film or photograph other players with their consent.
- Venue paddles cost HK$30 per paddle per session plus a HK$100 deposit each, and go back before you leave; balls are HK$10 each. Damage or lost equipment is charged. Treat all equipment with care and return the balls.
- Don’t move the nets or posts, and don’t sit or hang on the nets.
- No smoking, vaping, alcohol or glass. Water is fine; no food on court.
- No amplified music. Be considerate to other players and our neighbours, and keep noise down after 21:00.
- No pets, except assistance animals.
- Players under 16 must be accompanied by an adult.
- Leave the court tidy and take your rubbish with you. Lost property is kept for 30 days.
- You play at your own risk. Tell our team straight away about any injury or damage. In an emergency, call 999 first.
- In heavy rain without a weather warning, our staff may pause play for safety.
- If these rules are broken, our staff may ask you to stop, and we charge for overruns, extra players (another court for the session) and damage. After repeated serious breaches, we may stop taking online bookings from that phone number.
Booking terms, payment and weather closures are covered in the booking terms & conditions.
